Here are the J-1 application requirements needed for hospitality interns and trainees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Eligibility Requirements<\/h4>\n<p>Interns are required to be enrolled or have graduated from a post-secondary academic institution with hospitality-related degrees.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, trainees must also have a hospitality-related degree with one year of work experience. Those who did not graduate from a hospitality course must have at least five (5) years of relevant work experience.<\/p>\n<p>To know more about your specific classification, you can check <a href=\"https:\/\/experienceabroad.com\/index.php\/2021\/05\/06\/do-you-fall-under-the-intern-or-trainee-category\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>English Requirements<\/h4>\n<p>It is a must that applicants are proficient in the English language, both orally and in writing. To measure your proficiency, you are required to take one of the following English tests:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">TOEFL (Internet-based Test): minimum score of level 7, two years validity<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">IELTS: minimum score of level 7, two years validity<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Duolingo: minimum score of 90%, two years validity<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.berlitz.com\/\">Berlitz<\/a>: minimum score of level 4, one-year validity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Required Documents<\/h4>\n<p>Throughout your application, you will be accomplishing forms and collecting the documents needed, both for your program and visa application. Here is a brief summary of the required documents that you must secure:<\/p>\n<p>Program Sponsor Application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Resume<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Transcript of Record\/Work Sheets<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">School Certificate\/Graduation Certificate\/Diploma<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Work certificate (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Previous J-1 Documents (If returnee)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Passport<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">and other sponsor documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>US Visa Application<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">2 copies of 2&#215;2 picture<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Appointment confirmation letter<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">DS-160 form<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">DS-2019 form<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Signed DS-7002 Page 1 and 2 (Training Plan)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">SEVIS receipt<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Passport<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">and other supporting documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In order for you to acquire these J-1 application requirements, you will have to coordinate with a visa sponsor or a J-1 agency.
